K-Smethwick High Street/Bearwood Road U-turn Facility
Problems
The existing u-turn facility at the point of inter-section between High Street / Bearwood Road has been identified as
a point of delay for westbound traffic caused by vehicles queuing in the offside lane. The existing u-turn facility has
also identified as being of an inadequate size to enable buses to carry out the u-turn manoeuvre.
Proposals
- Potential for larger u-turn facility to be created.
Possible benefits
- Improved traffic flow for through traffic.
- Improved manoeuvrability for buses to enable u-turn to be carried out.
